Explore your future in medicine with hands-on learning and real-world insight.
Are you a high school student interested in a career in healthcare? Susquehanna University’s Health Careers Summer Institute offers a weeklong, immersive experience designed to help you discover the many pathways in the medical field.
Throughout the week, you’ll work closely with Susquehanna faculty and local healthcare professionals as you explore topics in human anatomy, physiology and health sciences. Participants will engage in interactive labs, team-based workshops, medical simulations and sessions with guest speakers who will share their personal journeys and professional expertise.
In addition to engaging academic experiences, you’ll enjoy a taste of college life on Susquehanna’s scenic campus — living in residence halls, dining with peers and forming lasting friendships with other students who share your passion for helping others.
Whether you dream of becoming a doctor, nurse, physical therapist or medical researcher, this program will give you the inspiration, knowledge and confidence to take your next step toward a rewarding career in healthcare.
Students entering grades 10–12 are invited to register.
Rising high school seniors who attend a Summer Pre-College Program will earn a $2,000 Visit Grant — $8,000 over four years. If admitted, this grant will be automatically awarded in addition to any other merit or need-based financial aid for which you might qualify.
